Originally founded in August of 1998, RAB (Robert A. Benton) Racing has grown from a team of two part-time crew members in a 2000 sq. foot space into one of the top teams in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. Operating out of a state-of-the-art, 40,000 sq. foot facility in the heart of racing country, RAB Racing is laying a foundation to become one of the top teams in the industry with long term goals set firmly in the upper echelons of NASCAR's national touring divisions.
The 65 has fielded cars for Brack Maggard, Walt Brannen, Damon Lusk and Justin Marks. RAB Racing is a team of young, passionate and driven individuals all striving to make their mark in one of America's most competitive sports. In just two seasons RAB has brought home 2 poles, 8 top-five and 23 top-ten finishes and in 2007 the 65 team finished 5th in overall Driver and Owners points.
The new year has already brought a lot of changes to the team with the addition of driver John Wes Townley and Zaxby's, but also a new car number, the No. 09, and the switch from Dodge Chargers to Ford Fusions powered by Roush/Yates Engines. 2008 will mark the 3rd full-time year in the ARCA RE/MAX Series for RAB Racing and along with the challenges of a full-time schedule the team will also be battling other notables for the Rookie of the Year honors.
